Had I only known, March 13, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Graco Magnum 262805 X7 HiBoy Cart Airless Paint Sprayer (Tools & Home Improvement) What a time saver! it takes longer to tape off windows and trim then it does to paint. I painted a whole house (new construction) in two days. you definately need a spray shield to protect against overspray on the ceiling and floors but it is so worth it. The walls I painted were textured plaster and I did roll one room as a comparative which took an entire day and my shoulder was sore from all of the repeated rolling to cover the texture throughly. Spraying produced a better coat w/ much less effort. It's the only way to paint and that's the only way I will do it from now on. Well worth the money and clean up couldn't be easier.

Perfect for fence staining, May 16, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Graco Magnum 262805 X7 HiBoy Cart Airless Paint Sprayer (Tools & Home Improvement) I had nearly 700 linear feet of 6' tall fence to stain. That's a pretty big job and the quote I got from a fence staining company reflected it.
I bought this sprayer figuring that it would pay for itself with the first job and I could use if for other painting jobs if it worked out.
I was able to spray on the stain in less time than it took me to pressure wash it the weekend before! The result looks like it was done by the professionals and I saved a nice chunk of change in the process.
For the stain, I used a 413 tip instead of the 515 tip that it comes with. It might have been a good idea to get the extension for the sprayer because my back was really barking at me the next day from all of the leaning over and standing back up. Based on the amount of over-spray, I will probably stick with a roller (or maybe the roller attachment for this) for interior painting.
Clean up wasn't bad, probably took less than 30 minutes total and I used... Read more

Self-destruct machine, July 30, 2012 By This review is from: Graco Magnum 262805 X7 HiBoy Cart Airless Paint Sprayer (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this Graco sprayer to paint a mobilehome. It held together long enough to finish the job, and to start the next one. After spraying a total of about 14 gallons of latex paint, it began to pour paint out of the pump. I took the machine to the Graco service center, and the factory had them replace the pump assembly.
After that, I painted a garage and part of my own house, but then the pump/motor housing snapped in two and the sprayer is now useless. I sprayed a total of maybe 25 gallons of paint and the unit is now toast.
I figure it cost me about $16 a gallon to use this machine. I'm not impressed with Graco
