First a disclosure: I have owned a LOT of spray equipment. Some of it very expensive, some of it pretty cheap, but I have NEVER been able to get a sprayer to work well. The one exception was an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) sprayer and even that presented me with a lot of problems.
The Black and Decker BDPS600K two speed quick clean sprayer did not work for me. The worst was the paint did not go on smoothly. The coat was splotchy as the sprayer spit the product rather than spray it with a nice mist. I normally judge the sprayers by how close they can come to a spray can kind of spray - just covering a larger area. I do very well with spray cans of paint, urethane, shellack, etc. So, if a sprayer can get close to that kind of mist or spray I think it is a winner. No matter what I did this sprayer did not come close in any fashion. It has two spray nozzles:one is a cone spray pattern and the other is a fan spray pattern. Neither one works. "Quick-Clean???" I ordered this to help my daughter who was re-doing a room. She used it to paint wall panels, typically spraying down on 2 by 4 foot wainscoting sections. She found that the paint dripped and blobbed and ran after spraying, so she had to clean up the panels with a brush anyway. She found that if the gun was held pointed down towards the panels, it wanted to be refilled when there was still half a container of paint there. She found the cleaning procedure quite a pain, particularly since the device needed to be cleaned after every two fillings of the paint container. She decided this device was so inefficient to use that it was far easier to just use a roller. Perhaps if you are spraying a fence and keeping the sprayer in an absolute vertical mode you could get some extended run-time, but our experience was that this was not worth the effort. She did compliment the clear and well written manual.

The concept is great, the execution simply blows. The B&D sprayer was simply a mess. The only thing that wasn't that bad was filling it.
I got it to spraypaint a bench I use in the garden. What a freaking MESS. The spray head kept clogging up; when it did spray, one area would be very thin and the other thick (enough so that the paint was making drips on the bench legs.)
Granted, I'm no genius when it comes to spraypainting equipment, but I've painted enough and used spraypaint in cans enough to know how both are supposed to work.
This isn't it. It's a lot of money to spend for something that didn't work for me - and frankly, I don't see how anyone else could've gotten better results.
