A fine piece of American machinery, October 15, 2009 By Lafayette H. Bunnell "Riso" (Yosemite Natl. Park) - See all my reviews This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Campbell hausfeld .23 GPM Airless Sprayer PS250ARB (Misc.) I am buying this because my 11 year old one died. We use them commercially in furniture manufacturing, and I have owned several. This unit was immersed permanently in oil base laquer sealer and semi-gloss for those 11 years, used almost daily, without a glitch. We only ran thinner through the unit if a shut down of over 2 weeks was planned. If you do not plan on full time use, then you must follow the clean up procedure to the letter, ESPECIALLY if using latex paint, which is much harder on the unit than oil base. You might consider a piston unit for latex. Now it turns out that this 11 year old wonder is NOT dead - pulled an old main intake valve from a retired unit, and now its back in service. The only reason these are "rebuilt" is because homeowner sloppy joe did not clean and store the unit as instructed- just the same as new. Caveat; if you are not a detail person, and want to use latex, buy a roller and a brush.
